Michaels is Hiring an Inventory Control Team Member

Organize and categorize merchandise throughout the store upon arrival. Help customers locate the products they are interested in and offer expert advice. Provide friendly and professional customer service that meets their expectations.

Major Activities:

• The adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the implementation of Company programs are necessary not only for complying with applicable laws and requirements but also for maintaining consistency with the Company's policies and standards
• Work collaboratively with team members to unload and stock the trucks, ensuring compliance with quality standards and cost management requirements
• Participate in the planogram (POG) creation procedure for both SBA and seasonal products, making sure that they are timely achieved and precise
• Participate in the AD acquisition process that takes place on specific Sundays
• Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards in order to guarantee that customers receive the full impact of our brand promise
• Retailers must have a clear policy and procedures in place for handling go-backs and merchandise recovery
• Make sure the visual merchandising standards are upheld in all seasonal displays and feature spaces to maintain brand consistency
• Offer a shopping experience to customers that is enjoyable, well-stocked, and easy to navigate
• Give thanks to patrons, guide them towards the sought-after product and suggest suitable resolutions
• Approaches interactions with others in a welcoming and considerate manner; maintains a constructive and respectful approach, even in challenging circumstances; advocates for the organization's objectives and principles; models a positive image and serves as a source of inspiration
• Assistance for safety and mental health campaigns
• Perform SISO duties appropriately by focusing on the stock control procedures in stores
• Adhere to duties as assigned, including operating the cash register and line busting
• When retailers implement omni channel processes, they can offer customers the convenience of purchasing products online and picking them up in-store or vice versa
• Join patrons to the Rewards club
• You may be asked to undertake other responsibilities

Physical Requirements:

• Skill to endure standing for an extended period without slouching or shifting weight
• The proficiency to roam around the store unrestricted
• Regular bending, raising, transferring, grasping and elongating
• Transporting substantial cartons and getting to high shelves with the aid of specialized apparatus

Work Environment:

Occasionally, our employees may be assigned to retrieve shopping carts or assist in unloading trucks, which may require them to work outside for a short period of time.
